I had booked a make up session and hair trial with a local hair salon and after a couple of bad experiences with the hairdresser I had lost all confidence in their service and was feeling very concerned and stressed about my hair and make up situation. Although my wedding day was getting closer I decided to search for an alternative and found 'Beau Papillon' who responded to my e-mail immediately and confirmed that they were available on my wedding day. Huge sigh of relief!
I went to the trial and immediately felt relaxed with Sarah and Leanne and was treated like an old friend...as it turned out I felt so comfortable in their company I was looking forward to seeing them again on the big day! Sarah and Leanne listened to what I wanted to achieve with my make up and hair and together they created the perfect look. I also asked them to do my sister's hair and make up (she was my bridesmaid) on the day and was so pleased to report to her that I had every confidence in 'Beau Papillon' because they would listen to what she wanted and more importantly do a fantastic job. Thanks to Sarah and Leanne I felt completely relaxed about my hair and make up arrangements - one less thing to worry about!
On the morning of the wedding Sarah and Leanne turned up in plenty of time and set up base in my lounge. They had brought along a bottle of bucks fizz which went down very nicely and calmed our nerves. My hair was set in rollers and my sister had her make up done first. I have to say that she looked absolutely gorgeous - her make up was stunning as Sarah had chosen a beautiful green for her eyes which complimented her sage dress and natural colourings perfectly. My sister had brought a hair comb for Leanne to fasten in her hair which as well as looking really pretty lasted throughout the day and evening reception. My make up was also fantastic (exactly what I had wanted) and Leanne completed the look with the classic up-do I had asked for. The gorgeous hair and make up gave me the confidence to walk in to a room full of 150 people! My make up lasted extremely well and my hair stayed in place until I reluctantly took it down that night (time for a confession - I didn't take my make up off that night and I woke up the next morning with eyeliner and mascara completely in tact!!!).
It was an absolute pleasure having Sarah and Leanne's support on my special day and they are most definitely part of a very happy memory of getting ready on that morning.
