Sue's Wedding
Hair and Make Up Trial
Sue contacted us originally with a wedding hair and make up enquiry for February 2009; unfortunately, due to a previous booking we were unable to offer her our services.
But then in September Sue contacted us again for another enquiry but this time in January 09 as the Hotel had advised Sue the were closing for refurbishment so she would have to change her date and remarkably we were free!
Sue came over for her hair and make up trial on a Sunday in December, she brought with her lots of pictures of looks she liked and we discussed her expectations, she also had the most amazing Fuscia coloured lipstick and Lip-gloss for me to use
I started with the eyes and applied a dusky pink eye shadow to her lower lids and then blended a shimmery cream eye shadow to highlight the brow bone, Sue usually wore eyeliner so I applied a grey pencil to the top and bottom lash line and blended with a smudge brush, and I applied a coat of Black waterproof mascara.
On her cheeks I used a Chanel two tone highlighter blusher in a rose and cream duo, on her lips I applied that fab Fuscia lipstick and lip gloss which she had bright!
She looked fantastic and it was such a lovely thing for me to be able to incorporate such a vibrant lipstick!
Leanne had a brief consultation with Sue regarding her hair and they discussed various options taking into account the weather and hair lengths, Sue was concerned about the possibility of damp conditions, but Leanne assured her the style would hold.
After talking through a few ideas they decided to try a Grecian style.
Sue was immediately happy and the look was born!
The Wedding day...
We arrived at 08.15 outside the Priory Hotel on Sue’s wedding day, it was a bit chilly but the sun was shining!
We were shown to Sue’s suite and she was alone very chilled out relaxing watching tele!
We had a brief chat and then Leanne started by using heated rollers to ‘set’ Sue’s hair when she had finished I applied Sue’s make up as I had at the trial, after discussing with Sue I decided to apply more eye shadow to create a stronger look, I applied a highlighter on her cheekbones to emphasise these and then waited for Leanne to style and hold Sue’s hair before applying that amazing lipstick and gloss.
There was a moment when we thought Sue was going to cry she was so pleased with her finished look and became all emotional!
