Satu's Wedding
Hair and Make Up trial
Satu arrived with her mother in law which was a first and nice o see!
She had quite clear ideas on what look she wanted to achieve, and brought clear pictures and her veil to the trial.
I started by applying a medium coverage foundation and set this with powder. Satu wanted to have really dramatic eyes to give a Smokey look, which for me what quite exciting!
I started by applying a light brown eye shadow base from Mac and then using a cream highlighter blended well towards the brow bone.
To achieve the Smokey look I first applied black eyeliner which had a cream consistency, waited for this to dry and then applied a grey eye shadow line which I blended using a line softening brush. I carried the line a little under the eye and also blended well.
Satu wanted to use dramatic false eyelashes to complete the amazing eye make up, so using a spare pair I applied then quickly to give her an idea of how much they would transform her eyes.
I then applied a coat of black mascara to help keep the eyelashes in place and also blend them into the natural lashes.
On her cheeks I applied a bronze blusher, on her lips we went for a pinkie/red lip liner with gloss.
When Satu looked in the mirror she loved the eyes and we agreed we would try a lip colour of Satu’s on the day”!
Wedding Morning
Wedding Photographer - Dafydd of www.dafyddowen.com
On the wedding morning it was a lovely sunny day and we made our way to an apartment in Abbey Heights. It was a big booking as Satu had 6 Bridesmaids!
We started with a coffee form the most fabulous coffee machine! And then Leanne set Satu’s hair in heated rollers to remove later.
Each bridesmaid had a different hair length and therefore had their own unique style!
Satu was very clam and relaxed, I started on her make up relatively early as the photographer was coming before the bridal party left to take some pictures.
I set about re-creating the trial make up, taking into account the changes we had communicated in-between the trial and today.
After almost completing the eye make up I applied the false eyelash Satu had supplied, they were really easy to put on and stuck really well. I the added a touch more eyeliner and mascara to secure the lashes to her own eyelashes.
After the eyes were completed I added the blusher and finally the lipstick Satu had supplied. She looked amazing her make up was very dramatic and captivating!
After Leanne has finished her hair she stepped into her dress and the most amazing dress and fabulous veil!
The photographer arrived and took some great shots in the apartment.
It is to date the biggest wedding party we have done and it went like a dream.
Satu and her bridesmaids each individually and collectively looked absolutely beautiful!
