Amanda's Wedding
Hair and Make Up trial
Amanda is due to get married in August 2008. After having a consultation with Amanda, she decided that she would probably like to stay as natural as possible for her wedding; this applies for both hair and make up.
Amanda has naturally curly hair which she wears down most of the time. I boosted Amanda's curls by using a curling product and diffuser. First of all, we decided that we would try a "half up-half down" look. I think the result was pretty and suited Amanda nicely.
I convinced Amanda to try an all up style and I think that she was pleasantly surprised with the results. It looked effortless and not at all preened and positioned, but at the same time suited Amanda's face and natural make-up.
For the make-up, again, we wanted a natural, not made up look. I applied a natural base and loose powder to set.
Eye shadow was a base of golden cream, then a layer of warm brown eyeliner blended in with a fawn brown over the liner and into the base colour. A brown mascara was applied to stay with the natural theme. Lipstick was a warm toffee with a covering of gloss to finish. We completed the look with a beautiful blusher that brought out the tones in the rest of the make up.
Amanda enjoyed her trial and has yet to decide whether the hair goes up or down, I’m sure she will look equally elegant with either.
